Bowing to international pressure, less than a month after the release of New York Dumb our friends at Apple have decided to allow thirty more countries access to NYD through the App Store. So now in Albania you can download "New York Memec," in the Ukraine "Нью-Йорк Німий," and in graffiti loving Papua New Guinea you can enjoy "New York Longlong" (that last translation is a little shaky, it may be more like "New York Stupid" but it's been years since we've rendered anything into Tok Pisin.)

AUSSIES GET DUMB FIRST

We here at NYD are proud to report that the first download of New York Dumb was purchased by the absolutely coolest person in Australia. (At least that's what we think, but since we're too cheap to pay for full analytics it's a little hard to tell.)

Theories as to why abound, but it's pretty clear that our Aussie friends are quick to appreciate how dumb New Yorkers are, and they are quick to get hold of and enjoy the photographic evidence of the graffiti dumbness.

Other early purchases were made in the US and in Canada (or at least made in US and CAN dollars, as mentioned we're cheap on the analytics.) The digital publishing group at NYD are proud to announce that New York Dumb for iPad is now available for download at the Apple App store. New York Dumb is a visual love note to dull-witted poster defacements, disrespectful dolts and the town that brought them together — the big dumb apple, NYC.

We here at NYD have long cataloged poster defacements and graffiti from the dick perspective and now we'll whole heartedly embrace the dumb side of New York as well. Truthfully, in NYC the dickish and dumb always work hand-in-hand so the defacements in NewYork Dumb are clearly in keeping with the dickish side of the New York attitude, just not quite as disgusting.
